Tips and Suggestions for your Downtown Las Vegas Visit
- Looking for table games with a low minimum bet? In general, casinos further away from the Fremont Street Experience canopy offer lower limits. Use our casino map of Downtown to navigate to El Cortez, Downtown Grand, Main Street Station, or California as they are more likely to offer $10, or even $5 minimums on games like blackjack, roulette, and craps.
- Although not listed on our Fremont Street map to avoid clutter, there are numerous options for snagging a cheap meal. Among our go-to’s are Doner Kebab in Neonopolis, White Castle, and Pizza Rock at Downtown Grand which we rated as the best pizza by the slice in Las Vegas. Check out our full rundown of cheap meal options on Fremont street here.
- Slot and video poker games that use tokens or coins have gone extinct on the Strip minus Circus Circus and Slots-a-Fun, however, there are still a number of casinos downtown that offer them. Currently, El Cortez, Main Street Station, and Plaza offer coin-operated games.
- On the topic of slot machines, we personally love playing Silver Strike games which are non-existent on the Strip. Silver Strike games kick out a commemorative token, which is sometimes made of silver, for landing a “Silver Strike” emblem on the pay line. While they have a face value (typically $10 or $40) and can be redeemed, most people hang on to them as a souvenir.
- Both Binion’s and 4 Queens offer guests a free slot pull in which cash prizes of up to $2,500 can be won. Why not take advantage? You have nothing to lose!
- Circa Hotel and Casino, the first ground-up resort built Downtown in decades opened its doors in October of 2020 and it’s a stunner. Ensure you carve out time to check out the largest sportsbook in the world, their Stadium Swim rooftop pool deck, and the refurbished Vegas Vickie which is on display inside. Hopefully, our printable map of Fremont Street casinos will help you to navigate more effectively and plan your Las Vegas itinerary! Have a great time in Vegas, and win big!
